What is Untangle?
Untangle is a collective of Asian and Asian American creatives passionate about creating art to untangle our
identities, our lives, and the world. As an organization founded in the wake of the 2021 Atlanta Spa Shootings
which targeted Asian American women, we aim to honor our roots by continuously fostering a safe space for artists in our community.
Every year, we collaboratively create and publish a zine to express, empower, heal, and document our journeys as humans finding our
place in the world. Although Untangle is an Asian artist collective, we recognize the beauty and value in different experiences and perspectives,
and we invite you all to our community events as we develop our creative voices together.
